Understand your options before you cancel
General Refund Rules
SkyTeamTravel processing fee applies to refundable fares. Cancellation is only allowed by telephone. Refund requests will be accepted only after the following conditions have been met:
- All cancellations must be made through our representative and the passenger must receive an acknowledgment of receipt by email.
- There will be no refund for No Show reservations.
- In case we request an exemption from the airline, approval is required from the airline help desk. This process may take at least 7 business days.
Refund Term
After cancellation, SkyTeamTravel will send you a confirmation email regarding the refund amount. This notification acknowledges your request but does not guarantee a refund. After receiving your acceptance email, our refund department will coordinate with the airline refund desk.
- Refund processing by airlines may take 8–10 weeks.
- SkyTeamTravel will charge a cancellation fee in advance.
- If the airline denies the refund, the cancellation fee will be returned to your account.
When Can You Claim a Refund?
- Unfulfilled Booking Requests: If SkyTeamTravel is unable to secure your requested flight inventory or honor the quoted price during our manual ticketing process, your booking request will be declined, and any payment authorization will be voided or fully refunded immediately.
- SkyTeamTravel does not allow multiple refunds for the same itinerary. Once processed, refunds cannot be reinitiated.
- If eligible under the airline's specific fare rules or our company warranty policy, the customer may apply for a refund.
Process of Claiming Refunds
- Review the refund eligibility clauses listed above.
- Contact SkyTeamTravel Helpdesk via the customer care number and explain your issue in detail along with the expected refund amount.
- Customer service will verify the request and compare the quoted fare. If legitimate, you will receive confirmation regarding the initiation of your refund request.
- Refunds may be credited to your registered bank account within 24 hours of verification.
Reimbursements
The Refund Policy of SkyTeamTravel applies to reimbursement cases as well. Customers must provide proper documentation proving the legitimacy of their request.
- Documents must include: travel time, date, destination details, flight name, airfare, provider details, and reference price policy information.
Disputes & Chargebacks
Please note that filing a chargeback with your credit card company is not a valid method for requesting a refund. Refund eligibility is determined solely by the airline's fare rules and our cancellation policies.
Any chargeback filed for a valid, non-refundable booking will be disputed with evidence of your authorization and ticket usage. We strongly advise contacting our support team to discuss any refund possibilities before involving your bank.
