When is the cheapest time to fly from Toronto to Sydney?

The most competitive fares on the Toronto–Sydney route appear during late January through March, and again in October, when transatlantic demand from North America is at its lowest. Booking 45–60 days in advance is the sweet spot for maximizing savings, and being flexible by even ±3 days can uncover additional deals.

Which airlines operate flights from Toronto (YYZ) to Sydney (SYD)?

Key carriers on this route include Air Canada and Qantas (codeshare). Depending on your choice of airline and fare class, you'll experience connections via Los Angeles (LAX) or Vancouver (YVR). Total journey time including any connections runs approximately 21 to 24 hours.

Which airports are used for flights from Toronto to Sydney?

Your flight departs from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). You will land at Sydney Kingsford Smith (SYD) in Australia. We recommend arriving at the departure terminal at least 2.5–3 hours before your scheduled international departure.

Is $1450 CAD a competitive price for this route?

A fare starting at $1450 CAD from Eastern Canada to Sydney is a strong entry-level price for this corridor. Exact pricing is dynamic and changes based on cabin class, airline policy, and how close to departure you book. SkyTeam Travel's agents can often access unpublished wholesale fares below this level — call us to check availability.

Is it better to book flights to Sydney through a travel agent?

Yes, especially for securing seats on the most competitive carriers. Our agents can check multiple inventory systems simultaneously and flag unadvertised promotions that often disappear within hours of being released.
