The flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden is Scandinavian Airlines, also known and branded as SAS. It is important to remember that Scandinavian Airlines System, or technically Scandinavian Carriers Framework Denmark-Norway-Sweden, is the organization's entire name. SAS is a shortening of that term. With its official headquarters in Solna, Sweden, SAS Frsundavik, a division of the SAS Group, operates 180 aircraft to 90 destinations (as of December 2019). With connections to 109 airports worldwide, Copenhagen-Kastrup Air Terminal serves as the carriers' main hub. The second-largest center point for SAS is Stockholm Arlanda Air Terminal (with 106 complaints), with Oslo Air Terminal, Gardermoen being the third important location.
Other hubs may be found at Trondheim Air Terminal, Vrnes, Gteborg Landvetter Air Terminal, Stavanger Air Terminal, and Bergen Air Terminal, Flesland. The main office of SAS Freight, a free-standing subsidiary of Scandinavian Carriers, is located at Copenhagen Airport.
With a record-breaking 28.6 million passengers transported in 2017, SAS achieved earnings of 40 billion Swedish kronor. As a result, it ranks as the eighth-largest carrier in Europe and the largest in Sweden and Denmark. The SAS fleet consists of 180 aircraft, including Boeing 737 Modern, Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A321, Airbus A330, and Airbus A350. Aircraft from the Airbus A320neo, ATR 72, and Bombardier CRJ900 are also wet leased by SAS.
